Jerrica began showing her first dog in the early 1990s, and enjoyed many years working with herding dogs in a variety of ways.

After decades of involvement in dog sports and trials, Feoras as a kennel (Gaelic for "rock solid") began in 2007 as a dream for producing exceptional quality Collies with the beauty and gentle nature they are so known for, and the versatility they were initially bred for.

We benefited from amazing friends and mentors who have helped us establish strong healthy dogs here from many parts of the world and have had the great pleasure of working with pillars in the breed.

Over time, a new breed became as equally cherished here - the incredibly talented high energy and enthusiastic Mudi.

We have Mudi and Collies lovingly raised in our home and though they are entirely different breeds, both share a strong desire to please, a deep love of their family and wish to learn "all the things" as only herding dogs can.

Due to our commitment to raising our dogs in our home as part of our family, and to ensure our breeding dogs are good representatives of their breed, there are limited dogs here at any one time so we can focus on them appropriately.

We are active or past members of the Canadian Kennel Club, Halifax Kennel Club, Collie Club of Canada, American Working Collie Club, Collie Health Foundation, Sporting Detection Dogs Association, North American Mudi Association, Mudi Association of Canada, Mudi Club of America, ESCA and various other sport associations locally for agility, barn hunt, etc. We are active in community activities and outreach too!
